Comments about Columbia Sportswear Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Shirt - Men's:
Fantastic shirt, can wear it anyplace. Lighter then most comparable shirts. I bought and XL, and it fits nicely. I only wish it came in black. That teal color isn't great, and white is a no-go for me. But I own the shirt in dark blue, and will buy more.

Comments about Columbia Sportswear Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Shirt - Men's:
I've worn it everywhere from hiking in the Cascades to driving trips all the way down Baja to Cabo. It never failed to impress me keeping me dry and comfortable. Throw it in your bag, shake it out and it's ready to go. If your not of a thin build buy the next size larger and your set.

Comments about Columbia Sportswear Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Shirt - Men's:
The shirt fits comfortably and I can wear it when I go hiking, fishing and about town. It fits in most things I do. I really like the ability to roll up the sleeves. I used to do that at work to shirts when it would get very warm by afternoon. I think that in itself is a great attribute besides the great fit. I have not found anything wrong with the shirt as yet.

Comments about Columbia Sportswear Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Shirt - Men's:
This is a body fitting shirt. I liked the style and lightweigtedness of it for hiking and the fact that it has extra sunscreen protection and is easily washed. I'm muscular and the fit under the arms and in the back especially as well as the chest is very restrictive. It was a gift and unwearable for me.

Got this as a gift. I'm very muscular but most shirts fit me fine. This seems to have a french form fitting cut. French clothing doesn't fit me at all. Though this isn't French it fits like a cheap suit. That is it is made for skinny people. The fit especially in the back and under the arms was extremly tight, restrictive and uncomfortable. I made this into a rag maybe I should have given it to someone else but a rag was expedient.

My husband is prone to skin cancer so I recommended he buy this brand while we were at the Grand Canyon. (I bought one last year for myself). He loves it in grey and wants another for Father's Day.

Comments about Columbia Sportswear Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Shirt - Men's:
You should definitely try this one before buying it. I wonder if they design these shirts for skinny rock climbers. If you lift weights and are just a little bigger around the chest these shirts could be a problem. I did not think much of it until after an eleven mile hike up and down San Jacinto in So. California. The chafing is making me rethink this shirt for long hikes. The nylon fabric means a not so soft feel and made the chafing worse. You can't just go up a size since that will make the sleeves longer. It was okay when I wore a shirt underneath on a cold weather hike but that somewhat defeats the point of an all-purpose shirt like this.

Great shirt! Light, comfortable, stylish. Size runs small, I'm usually medium but needed the large. The size/length comments above are for the medium. On me the large fits right in the chest (I like it a little loose) but the sleeves are a little too long. Definitely try before buying.

Comments about Columbia Sportswear Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Shirt - Men's:
I mostly bushwhack so I need a durable, lightweight synthetic shirt. This one fits the bill as it's taken some hits from tree branches and some scrapes from shale with no complaints. The nylon does feel stiff, as if it's coated, but it breathes well and dries quickly. If you like a loose fit, buy a size larger. The XL fits like a Columbia L but feels like it is properly proportioned (as someone mentioned, it feels fitted). Also, the rolled up sleeve ends up at elbow level, so I have to unroll it slightly after it's buttoned to get some...um...elbow room.
