Comments about Vasque Blur SL Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
This shoe is very comfortable with good shock absorbtion, breathes very well, and decent traction. It might be a tag big for its size, but it eliminates the need to intentionally upsize to allow for swollen feet in warm weather. I've used it running on gravel roads, dirt roads, single tracks, major steep hills, roads indented full of cow prints, grass, and pavement getting to trails, and so far no complaints. One minor thing is i got a blister from a small pebble that got in from the top once, so maybe it could be a little better in sealing out debris on the top from corners at the edge of the lace flap...

Comments about Vasque Blur SL Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I have been running in the Blurs for years and have loved them. When I purchase the redesigned model for this year, I was not happy with them. They felt big and didn't seem to hold my foot well. Now, after training in them and running a mountain 50-miler in them, I'm hooked. Normally after a 50-miler I would have issues with toes or blisters. Not any more. The extra room in the toe box alleviates any chance of this. Even on steep descents and uneven ground. Highly recommend them.

Comments about Vasque Blur SL Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I have used several pairs of Blur trail shoes. To be fair, I bought Blur because REI didn't have the Vasque Velocity for a while. I felt the Blur wore out quicker than the Salomon Wings I now use or the Velocity I previously used.
Perhaps they are designed more for canal trails rather than mountain trails.

I have difficulty finding good shoes that fit. Size 14... bunions... narrow heel and big forefoot... overpronator. This fit exceedingly well... have plenty of room for my big toes and bunions (always an issue). Use them for hiking, casual cycling, gym, knocking around town. Great shoe!

Comments about Vasque Blur SL Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I use these shoes to run on the ATV trails in Northern Maine. They've done well, even in deep mud.
They are comfortable, and don't weigh a ton.
The only problem I have is with the durability. The seams around the toe box started to burst after maybe 2 miles. I expect more from shoes this expensive.

Comments about Vasque Blur SL Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I really wanted to like these shoes for warm weather hiking. They're cool, light, have a pretty aggressive tread pattern and feel really good when you first put them on. I'm a daily walker and enthusiastic trail hiker. This year I've worn them on the streets of London, hill walking in Wales and Montana, and on day long hikes in northern Wisconsin with a moderately heavy pack. They work great until about the fourth or fifth mile when the ankle support breaks down. If you're looking for a shoe for casual trail or in-town use these are the ones, but if you put on the miles in uneven terrain I would look for a shoe with more ankle protection.

Comments about Vasque Blur SL Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
Bought these several years ago when they were blue. Put a lot of miles on them, some of the best shoes I've ever owned. Agree with other reviews that they feel a tad bit larger than true size (not quite a half-size though). Also agree that this comes in handy when you've hiked several miles with a light pack and your feet are a bit swollen. Also nice when you're using a bit heavier sock for colder weather. I still own them, use them as my yard shoes for cutting grass, etc. They've held together extremely well (4+ years); the arch is a bit squishy now and the tread is slowly beginning to separate.
I'll definitely buy another pair unless they come in some blazing God-awful color.
