Comments about Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent:
ive had this tent for 5 month and im still amazed at the quality. it is light enough to take camping when you and your girlfrend split the tent up extremely water prof i have the old verson of this tent (the blue one)its just a color change though(i dont like the new color)the specs havent changed, i would recomend the ground cloth and the brunton (not to be confused with burton)polaris lantern (also available through rei) i would also purchase a fiew more stakes if this tent is to be used in windy conditions.
bottom line,? this tent rocks :-)

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent:
I bought this tent last year. I took it on one 3 day trip. My girlfriend, myself and 2 dogs (one on her own area, one on my feet) plus gear(stacked) all fit in the tent just fine.
I have two complaints:
Because of its shape we had to set up with our heads at door which made getting the dogs in and out without creating a lot of filth on my pillow area impossible. Also because of the lack of headroom throughout you can only sit up at the very front of the tent. This felt a little too confining for my taste while we were waiting out the rain.
More good stuff about the tent:
Even though it's not freestanding it set up very quickly. Took about 5 minutes. Held up to fairly heavy rain with no leaks. The vestibule is roomy enough. There's a great amount of floor space (the best floorspace, weight and price ratio)! Even on a dewy mountain morning there was no condensation. There's some nice little storage pockets. The door is reaaally wide so its easy to get in and out of.
Overall this a great tent, its just not for me. I returned it, tried out a few more tents and bought the Big Agnes Seedhouse 3 which I love (I prefer the modified dome shape).

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent:
I have used this tent Car camping, 2 day trips up to 2 week long trips weather out of a car or mountain hiking. It is very light for the space you get from it. Does great in all weather conditions with the right stakes. Great comfort for 2 people and a dog.
