Comments about Pedco UltraPod II Tripod:
The Pedco ultrapod II is a great little tripod. It stays in my camera bag because it's small and lightweight. It holds a surprising amount of weight, I use it with my 40D with 17-55mm EF-S. Its biggest drawback is that it's not super rock-solid steady...but that's to be expected because of its size and weight...so it's really a trade off. I find that I use this much more than my "pod" beanbag, because of the weight and size difference. One thing that is a little annoying is the velcro strap - it kind of gets in the way when opening / closing the legs because it needs to be done and undone each time. A minor gripe to say the least. The adjustment is really easy, too. Works great on uneven surfaces likes rocks, cars, etc... Easy to get the camera on and off.

Comments about Pedco UltraPod II Tripod:
I was looking for a solution to replace my "bean bag" when on hikes. It's good most of the time, but don't be too ambitious. I'm using it with 5D MKII and with a big lens or zoom, it can be a bit shaky. The trick is to use it with Live View mode in order to avoid the movement of the mirror. I'm also using it to hold a slave flashlight at home. I found the strap being annoying so I simply removed it.

Comments about Pedco UltraPod II Tripod:
I love this handy little pod! Make sure you check out all of the pictures. You can see how simple, yet effective this product is.
- It's well made with high quality materials. It's mostly plastic but it's well put together and feels very solid.
-The legs unfold to form a low and wide stance - stability is aided by the rubber feet. The rubber feet also help grip whatever you wrap the velcro strap around.
- It took me a few tries to wrap the velcro around the legs properly, but once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to use.
-I use this for a small DSLR camera and the Ultrapod II has no trouble supporting the camera in most situations.
- It's a bargain. Easily worth the small cost.
