Comments about Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 oz.:
I already have a Sigg bottle, but I bought a KK after the August edition of Outside magazine reported that it is unknown whether Sigg bottles leak BPA or not from their epoxy liner. However, I was very disappointed by the KK.
First KK is made in China, whereas Sigg is made in Sigg's factory in Switzerland. So, you can figure out which one is of higher quality.
Then there is the after taste. Water that sat in the Sigg overnight does not taste any different from water you drink from a glass. However, if I leave water in the KK for even an hour, it has a funny metallic taste. Also, KK has a much wider mouth, much harder to drink out of compared to the Sigg.
Finally, if there is any doubt about how safe Sigg is, there is a report on "reusable bags", or you can google it (sorry cannot put link here as it's not allowed). At any rate, after reading the report, I feel very safe to drink out of my Sigg again, and I'm returning the KK right away.

Comments about Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 oz.:
I bought the largest Kleen Canteen last spring and have been using it every day. I use a neoprene wine bottle cover to keep the water cold. The largest bottle has a mouth large enough to get ice cubes into it. I have used the Nalgene bottles ever since they first came out at REI. As a breast cancer survivor, I have become more careful at the products I use and what the long term effects could be. I feel very comfortable using the Kleen Kanteen. I plan on purchasing a smaller bottle for juices as I like to bring both water and juice to work.
SMILE :)

These bottles are perfect for everyday use or taking on hiking, biking trips. I fill the bottle and stick it in the fridge before I need it and the water stays cold for hours even on hot days. I love the new colors Klean Kanteen is releasing. Now it's even more fun and stylish to be eco friendly.

Comments about Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 oz.:
I have found Klean Kanteen bottles to be very useful. They are a great way to stay hydrated while not having to worry about BPA or other toxins leaching into the water.
Contrary to another comment, Nickel added to stainless steel actually makes it non-magnetic. So if these are magnetic, that is a good thing. There is definitely some nickel in this steel (as suggested by the "8" in 18/08 stainless steel), but it is much less than the standard for stainless steel cookware, which would be 18/10.
Also, I noticed a number of comments claiming there was an aftertaste, or manufacturing flaws such as rust or leakage. Klean Kanteen has great customer service, if you have any problems please return or exchange your bottles! If there is a problem, I'm sure they'll fix it (and if customers are constantly complaining that will alert them that they might need to change manufacturers).
I bought a bottle that had a strong aftertaste. I examined it and realized it looked like the seams were corroded inside. I finally returned it to KK many months later. They took the return with no hassle, and sent me a replacement right away. All of my other Klean Kanteen bottles have had no bad aftertaste (under normal conditions).

I really wanted to like this bottle, but once water was in there overnight it had a metallic taste I did not care for. Also, the opening is too large for drinking and water spills easily.
I prefer SIGG bottles for really neutral taste of water and easier use.

This is a great little bottle but I do think the price is to high for what it is, however I did buy one. The mouth is designed to put ice cubes in but unless you have a big mouth you just may spill so liquid on you before you learn that fact. I would suggest as the previous review, putting it in the freezer with 25% full of liquid and also buying the smaller mouth bottles. I do like the bottle and it does keep things cool even if it is not insulated.

Comments about Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 oz.:
I had high hopes for this style of water bottle and bought two -- one metallic and one black. Unfortunately the threads on the black bottle are not pressed very well, the result being that the lid will pop off unexpectedly when I pick it up by the loop top, spilling the contents all over. This is disappointing for a high-end water bottle. The metallic version has better threads with a different cap and has not exhibited this problem yet. It is nice to have the wider opening for putting in ice cubes, but can't give it a high rating due to the lid issue.

I never understood what the hype was about the Klean Kanteen bottles until I actually bought one and now I wouldn't be caught without one! I bought the black and it is gorgeous, sleek, and shiny. My only complaint is the occasional horrendous squeaking sound that the lid emits if not screwed on while centered. It is one of the first bottles that I have owned that doesn't leave an aftertaste. Very durable, much better than the other metallic brands that weld the bottom edge and break on first drop. I've ran mine through the dishwasher 20+ times in the past month and a half and it still looks and works just like new! It's also a great gift!

Comments about Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 oz.:
I have had my Klean Kanteen for over a month. It is replacing set of 1-1.5 liter plastic water bottles, and while there is a difference in the weight between metal and plastic, I don't really notice it/find it to be problematic.
This is now my only water bottle. I use it every day and will not leave the house without it.
The bottle is only 27oz, I'm used to at least 32oz, but it is perfect for my every-day uses (work, school, gym, day outings, bike rides, going to the park). It fits perfectly in my bags (book, computer, purse, diaper, etc.) and has a good feel/fits well in my hand.
This bottle has a wide mouth, no seams inside the neck, a larger ridge pattern for the top to screw onto the bottle, and no sharp edges at the lip. These were major deciding factors because they make for easy (re)filling and cleaning, and more comfortable/easier use. There is also the added bonus of being able to use standard ice cubes.
I washed my bottle before I used it. Tried it, tasted a very slight metal after-taste, rewashed, and have had no further problems (no added/changed flavor to the contents after being in the container--even after all-day exposure).
This bottle has a good lid seal. I have not had any problems with leaks. I have no fear of putting this bottle in my book bag with my books and papers.
My issue with this bottle is just normal adjustment from one product to another. That being said, my only problem—with any metal container—is that if/when it falls/is dropped, it is going to make a louder clatter than plastic. But that is just the nature of the material... I have dropped my bottle. I don't know if I was lucky, or the bottle is that good, but there were no dents to the bottle. The noise it made was just louder than I expected.

I took this bottle with me on a weekend trip to resurrection bay, ak. It doesn't give the water any taste, has a fairly small capacity but I knew that when I bought it. My main concern is that top has a tendency to not like staying on and will sometimes rotate around more than it should and become more loose.
