Comments about Brunton Solaris USB Foldable Solar Array:
I was hoping this would charge my cell phones even in moderate light conditions but it doesn't.
On my Nokia N80 in moderate light it will display charging but somehow actually loose charge faster than if it's not connected at all - a big pain if I want to leave it charging while I'm away. On my Nokia E90 (same conditions) it also displays charging but the battery meter never goes up, so maybe I can leave this one connected and not worry.
Under strong direct sunlight it performs brilliantly and charges super fast. I've also used it with a USB AA battery charger which seemed to work fine.
I emailed Brunton to ask them about my problem but to their discredit they never responded.
I also feel this could be made smaller & lighter.

Comments about Brunton Solaris USB Foldable Solar Array:
I have owned several solar chargers in the last few years and know that they all have their quirks. However the Brunton Solaris USB is a handy little device to have around. I am impressed by its ability to work in strong sun (even through a window) - it will charge both my Blackberry and Motorola within a few of hours. I also use it to charge my Brunton Solo 3.4 storage battery. I like its light weight and find the USB outlet to be much more useful than any of the connectors that the other Brunton chargers come with. However the downside is that it will not charge either my iPod Nano or Shuffle - in fact it DISCHARGES them(!?).
