Comments about SIGG Active Bottle Top:
My Sigg bottle came with the active bottle top. It worked fine for about 6 months but after that it started leaking. A little while after that the bottle fell and the swing top broke off so the nozzle was exposed all of the time. Now the bottle leaks even more. It is good while driving/biking because you can drink with one hand but it's frustrating because you can't just toss the bottle in your bag without it leaking. If you're thinking of getting a Sigg bottle (the bottle itself is great!) go with the plain looped lid, it's (supposedly) leak proof.

Comments about SIGG Active Bottle Top:
The mechanism on this top took a little getting used to, but once mastered, I love it. I have two small children and was looking for a leak-proof and self-closing top that would minimize spills at home and in the car. Even my two year old uses it like a pro. We have had trouble with the lids breaking off, but the sipping mechanism still works. I would definately recommend this product.

Comments about SIGG Active Bottle Top:
When I first purchased this, I was thrilled I'd be able to stop twisting my lid on and off, but after several months of gentle use (The bottle, I can't say the same about, but the lid has had it easy), it only seals half the time now, leaving me to screw around with it for an additional 5 minutes, lest it leak. The plastic parts seem to have too much friction. I use it at the computer, in the car, at work, cycling, etc. Flow is not fast enough for me while cycling though. Great bottles, but this lid, while it's engineered well, needs some better parts.

I've used this cap every day for a little over two years now, and haven't had any trouble with it. It took a few days to get accustomed to using, but once I got past the learning curb I would never want to give it up. If you want to try it, I'd encourage you to use it for at least a week before giving up and switching caps.
I was a little surprised to read other reviewers say theirs broke easily, or started leaking after a few months of use. Mine is still 100% leak proof, and didn't break even after a nearly full bottle was dropped out of a car going 25 mph...and landed cap down.

Comments about SIGG Active Bottle Top:
I wanted this top for use when "on the go". The top dribbles out small amounts of water so it doesn't work for active sports. The top is also somewhat difficult to keep holding down while the water comes out in small amounts. Very disappointed with this top.

I bought a Sigg bottle that came with this top and I love it! I use it everyday. I have had one for two years with never any leaking or any trouble at all. I bought another one as a spare and have had no trouble with it either! I like it much better than the previous version sport top that came with the Siggs. I was surprised to see bad reviews here.

I understand the frustration others could have with this. I like that it is one-handed operable. Could it flow quicker, sure but it does come out when you "suck" on it. Not ideal I know, but beats unscrewing and rescrewing a cap back on while running.

Don't buy this!!! It barely works - very little water gets through when you try to drink. I ended up taking it off the bottle when I was hiking because I couldn't get any water to drink!

Comments about SIGG Active Bottle Top:
Worst Sport Top EVER. I love the Sigg bottles, but don't pay extra for this top. Getting water out through it is rediculously complicated, and then you're rewarded with very little flow. I'd rather have the standard top, because all I do with this one is to screw it off to drink from the bottle anyway.

Comments about SIGG Active Bottle Top:
My daughter uses her Sigg at school and the top started leaking a few months after using it. The inside of the white spout has a thin gray lining strip and this partially detached from the inner side of the white spout. I didn't want her to accidentally swallow it if it ever completely detached so I had to pull off the part that was loose. She had already commented that the bottle leaked in her book bag. After removing part of the thin gray strip, it leaked to the point where I had to buy her the loop top. She takes good care of her bottle and only drinks water from it so this top is poorly designed and the leaky top is a common drawback as confirmed by other reviews.
