      Rafting, beaching, even beaching at A-basin these chair are light weight, dry quickly and comfy too. Our first set has gone through 4 years of heavy use and we are passing those down to our 6 & 8 year old girls and picking up fresh chairs for Mom & Dad. (They all done with their pink Hello Kitty chairs)

        This is my 2nd generation of purchasing mesh camp chairs. (I still have and use my 1st set of chairs) I will not go back to the heavier fabric. The mesh is strong, dries and cleans quickly. The reinforcements around the seat corners are telltale signs of a long lasting chair. Also, I like the fact that the backrest is lower; I don't feel like i'm sunken in my chair or that my head is being pushed forward. The carrier bag is sturdy too. If you do a lot of outdoor activities, this is the chair for you.

        I ordered this chair because i am on a military deployment in the mountains of the middle east and the ones we had kept breaking. this chair rides on the outside of and armored truck and then gets used daily, so far it holds up better then expected. i love the mesh because it cleans right off, and up to now holds up great with all the weight and beetings we have givin it. highly recomended

          This chair seems comfortable until you try to stand up. Good luck getting up out of the chair, especially if you are holding something like your child. You can't sit forward on the chair and play a gutair. It is just not comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. If you use the armrests to help you up it starts to tip. The cup holders actually hold a large travel mug with a handle, but still not big enough for the nalgene...

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            The chair works as advertised and is very stylish. They're super comfortable and the mess keeps your back comfortably cool. I will not buy fabric again.

            I don't have any problems standing up in them and when sitting you don't lean back really far like some chairs- I personally don't like that. The mesh chair sits you in a nice upright position!

              Bought 2 and use in the kitchen at home where we have our 'kitchen home theater hdtv' set up !I know it sounds crazy but its fun . Easy set up and put away under the table . Looking forward to using them this summer at camp . Love the back support on these gems .

                I really like the easy setup and mesh material. The chair seems well-made. However, this chair is not comfortable because it does not provide lumbar support. Compared to other REI brand chairs, this chair sinks your butt the most, forcing you to slouch like a C shape. I am 5 feet tall and had whip lash 4 years ago. This chair strains my back and neck even when I sit in it for 20 seconds. I returned the mesh chair and I purchased the REI Comfort Recliner instead since it provides lumbar support.

                It's easy to clean, dry. Left it out in the rain, just flipped the bag over(bag is half-mesh too). Much cooler on hot softball afternoons.

                It's just too small/low for me at 6'6", my wife at 6' finds it more comfortable, but still struggles a bit to get out of it. Ideal for <5'9".

                A great chair if you fit it.

                  I purchased this chair for scout camping (mesh construction, large cup holder),works well inside larger tent, small foot print. Well constructed compared to the cheap chairs that I have used in the past.
