Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:

Living in Atlanta, GA it never gets too cold... so the Marmot Leadville Jacket has been great for chilly spring mornings and breezy, stormy weather. It’s not quite as heavy as the Northface Apex jacket I was also considering and seems to breath a great deal better than most of the softshells I tried - which is great for me since I work up a sweat hiking or riding my bike while wearing this coat. I do throw on a fleece vest underneath if it gets too cold and I will layer a Goretex shell over top if the weather goes too cold or wet. At [$] the price is a bit high, but you can rest assured you’re getting one kick-butt, technical piece of gear for that dough. And this piece is such a mainstay, you’ll likely be wearing it more than your other jackets. Construction is solid. Interior is soft and exterior is durable and sheds water very well. And I just had to get the orange one...

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:

It was initially hard to pull the trigger for the price, but I caught it on sale. Now that I have it, I have no regrets. It is not super warm, but it is prefect on cool days walking, hiking or riding the bike. I can't believe how comfortable this is, and my wife says it looks great. It's a perfect spring/fall temperature jacket.

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:

I purchased this jacket to have something small and lightweight that I can put on over my clothes when I use my motorcycle, and I can take with me for hiking.
The jacket is truly windproof - even at 70mph on the bike!

It will fit well athletic people; I like that it doesn't have the "big belly shape".

It is well designed and manufactured, thoughts given to details and it performs well above my expectations.

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:

I'm a tall and skinny guy, 6' 2.5" and 165 lbs., and it seems nearly impossible to find jackets that are long enough and not too baggy. After months of searching I found this one at the local REI and lo and behold the sleeves are longer than average and the chest is not gigantic (size large), but I can still fit a sweatshirt under it without it becoming too tight. The price is a little steep, but it is well worth it to someone my size (not to mention the [$] off coupon from a local event).

Nice jacket for layering or all by itself. I have worn it with a t-shirt underneath in 40 degrees with 15 mph winds and I stayed comfortable when moving. It also worked well layered under my rain jacket for extra protection.

Comments about Marmot Leadville Jacket - Men's:

I've been using this jacket for over a year now, and I am very pleased with it. While wearing it, I climbed 14ers, scrambled rocky routes and fell on a dirt road with my motorcycle, yet there is not much sign of wear on my jacket.

It is much lighter and allows me to move much more freely than other softshells.

I'm unable to edit my previous review where I incorrectly marked the jacket to be waterproof. It is somewhat water resistant only. Look for an M1 softshell if you need a more water resistant jacket from Marmot.

I purchased this 6 months ago to use as an everyday-jacket for fall, winter and spring. It does do a good job of stopping the wind. however, it does not still provide protection from water. i wore it hiking the other day. i was soaked in a 30 minute sprinkle. I would not have bought it had i known this fact. Not worth [$] if you want protection from water. Wait for this to go on sale or buy a North Face Apex.

It is a light weight soft shell jacket. The things I like about it is that it fits great, not too tight nor too loose. The fabric feels better compared to a generic soft shell jackets. The only negative is that this jacket is not very warm.

Great jacket. Depending on the temp I usually wear a base layer under it. Good deal on sale. I wouldn't pay full pop for it though. If I was gonna spend $160+ I would get a Mountain Hardware or an Arc'Teryx.
