Comments about Cat Eye Velo 5 CC-VL510 Bike Computer:
Spend a little more and go with a wireless unit. The long wire wraps around your handle bars and makes your bike look junky. But most importantly, I can't get the unit to work. I followed directions on installing and setting up exactly, but the unit doesn't register that the bike is moving. I've tried moving the magnet and the receiving unit, but it's still not working.

Comments about Cat Eye Velo 5 CC-VL510 Bike Computer:
It was cheap and a good starter computer (it was my 1st bike computer). I wish it read in miles (haha, I keep forgetting my km conversions), and had wires (at time of purchase I didn't have a preference, now I know I want a wireless one), but it was easy to mount and works great for commuting. Oh, I also wanted it to have a trip timer. So, a great starter one, its nice and simple, but now I'm ready for an upgrade! :)

Comments about Cat Eye Velo 5 CC-VL510 Bike Computer:
Great computer! If you are looking for a computer that has just the basics- this is the one. To the other reviewer that said you can't change from kmh to mph, it's easy- just look at the instructions. Also, it's very easy to reset your trip odometer, and the like. It's typical Cateye- it will work, and work for years. I also have a Cateye Mity 2 on my mountain bike that I've had for ten years or so, and it still works great, even after pouring rains. This one is for my commuter bike, and I expect it to last for a bunch of years, also.
