Comments about MSR Dromedary Bag - 6 Liter:
I ordered this 6 liter bag when I realized I would need to carry a lot of water on a Big Bend hiking trip.
When I first received the bag, I filled it up and it did indeed hold slightly more than 6 liters, and the handle around the lid connection point was very well designed. Holding the bag by the handle allowed the bag to be almost completely filled without any excess air pockets farther up the bag in the corner.
The construction seems very rugged for a bag, and I did not at any point experience any leaks from the bag during my weekend backpacking. I didn't try sitting on it or anything (not wanting to tempt fate, since I received my bag a day before leaving for the trip), but it seems like it could probably withstand it.
The included string laced around the edge of the bag made it very easy to hang up at a central tree at our campsite, so it was easy to access when preparing meals and drinks.
Surprisingly to me (despite the other reviews saying so) the water tasted great from the bag - no weird plastic or chemical flavors that I could detect.
Six liters of water is a pretty heavy addition to a pack, but six liters in this bag sure beat my contingency plan of 6 one liter nalgene bottles.

Comments about MSR Dromedary Bag - 6 Liter:
this is a very well designed water carrier. i have the ten liter version. it is very flexible and durable unlike those collapsible clear plastic water jug things...you know the ones. the webbing laced around the container distributes the stress around the bag quite remarkably. at first i thought the top grommet would rip right out at first hanging but the system is genius. the only improvement that can be made would be the addition of some kind of anti-gravity device...ten liters of water is really heavy.

Comments about MSR Dromedary Bag - 6 Liter:
Per unit volume much lighter than Nalgene bottles, but still extremely durable. A must-have if you don't expect to be camped near local water reserves.

I have used this same bag for the last three years and it is reliable, dependable, durable and convenient. you can hang it from a tree branch use it from there, you can put it in your pack and drink from there, I have found no off taste from this bag either, And its is still ready to go on many more trips

This product is amazing no matter the setting. I take it on canoe trips and even to work. It is perfect at work hanging on the back of a door for easy access to water all day long. Add ice and you never have to get caught in water cooler chatter again!!! Super strong construction will make for years of worry free use.

I used this for 30 days backpacking. It's great when you're camping a long ways from water and have a large group. If you're hiking away from water for a day, you can carry extra with you.

Comments about MSR Dromedary Bag - 6 Liter:
this bag is great. I think it is a little large for backpacking, due to the weight. I humped it it Big Bend and now looking for the 2-liter bag.
