Comments about Mammut Eiger 10.5mm x 60m Non-Dry Rope:
After the first climb the sheath started showing serious wear. After 3-4 months of climbing this rope is in worse shape than my 3 year old rope.
If you don't have the money to get a good rope in the first place, when are you going to have the money to by a second and third to replace this piece of garbage.
Lesson learned for me :-(

Comments about Mammut Eiger 10.5mm x 60m Non-Dry Rope:
I have had mine for two years now and use it about twice a week on sandstone sport routes and it has held up just fine for me. took a couple of nice medium and long falls on it on lead, and it craddled the fall nicely.A little heavy to haul up the wall though, and tough to rap smoothly, but otherwise its an awsome rope for the money.

Comments about Mammut Eiger 10.5mm x 60m Non-Dry Rope:
This is an unstoppable rope. I describe myself as a weekend warrior and it's held up to the abuse of two season's worth of climbing. But check it out - It's odd how compact this rope is - when I stuff it in the rope bag, it settles so much more efficiently than my other ropes (of the same size, etc). It's a very easy feed, durable rope that I would purchase again and again.

Comments about Mammut Eiger 10.5mm x 60m Non-Dry Rope:
This was my first climbing rope and just like other people said, it's truly a WORK HORSE. This rope is big, strong, wear resistant, supple, and it looks good. My only small "complaint" is that it's slightly heavy and bulky. I do like the bulk because it give you a sense of security, but it is definitely not your rope of choice for quick and fast sport leads or ultralight climbing. I've used this rope on everything from tree climbing and mock rescues to long, outdoor pitches at 8000ft. I have it for several years now, so it's about time to get a new rope, but really the only reason I need to replace it is because of its age; the sheath is still almost flawless! This rope will last through lots of climbing in dry weather. Its lower cost means you don't get a dry coating, but don't let that stop you: buy it now.
