  • Dual-density Wilderness Waistbelt is pre-curved to eliminate wrinkles, hugging the hips to provide increased comfort and load-carrying control
  • Back panel is lined with AeroTech™ mesh with a vertical chimney vent that helps to move moisture away from your

    Of all the packs I have owned since I began backpacking in 1968 (approximately 30 backpacks) this is my favorite! In size "large" it holds a large bear resistant container, my oversized sleeping bag and down air mattress plus food and gear for a 6 day trip. Outstanding fit, comfort and light weight are hallmarks of this pack. It has been ideal on the Muir and Continental Divide Trails. It fits my needs so well that I bought a backup in case this model went out of production!

    Comments about Gregory Makalu Pro Pack:

    I have been backpacking for years and this pack has won my heart. It is a highly adjustable, mid-weight pack that can comfortly hold a load of 50 pounds. It is durable and built for the outdoors. It will not let you down. It is fairly easy to pack. It has a simple design but has all the bells and whistles one might need. I took this pack out for a weeklong trip up in the North Cascades. It performed just as well as I did. And that's how us backpackers like our packs. We like to venture off into the wilderness not having to worry about a broken hipbelt or an uncomfortable hoad that tears into our shoulders. I'm sure most of you backpackers out there had some issue with previous packs, I know I did. If you want the perfect expedition pack then look no further. This pack is the one for you.
