    While I was first turned off by the price of these SmartWools, I must say that they are certainly worth the cash! They are comfortable enough to wear under loose fitting pants on an extra cold day and also are not bulky. Additionally, they are extremely warm and I have never felt my lower body become cold while wearing these (with snow pants) during a long day of skiing.

      I've worn these pants for a few years. Guiding summer and winter camping trip and they've never disappointed me.

      I used them for a 6-day dogsled trip in Superior National Forest and was quite cozy in Minnesota's winter. I've used them under nylon pants when downhill and cross country skiing in Duluth. I've used them in the summer, but mostly at night because it's just too hot during the day. They are great for at night, especially if you're a "cold sleeper" like me.
