To fix the lid problems, get an extra Jetboil lid off their PCS; it fits perfectly, retains heat, and the plastic is easy to drink out of.
It's worth mentioning that compact fuel canisters fit right inside this cup. I have a Brunton Optimus Crux that also fits inside when folded. Makes a great compact rig.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

..buy this cup! This (together with the Snow Peak spork) should be everyone's first start to backcountry eating! It's lighter weight:more functional than a double-walled cup, titanium has an awesome way of staying cool where the flame/hot water isn't, and the handles interlock to promote stability. I make tea to drink while I pack down camp, and with the sip-able lid, it stays hot for a long while. The measurement markings are the only ones I need. Absolutely a perfect product. YOU NEED THIS!!

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

This is a sweet little pot. It's lightweight, and you won't need any other dishes if you're going solo. With more than one person, this can serve as the primary cookpot. It's small enough to fit in a corner of your pack, but big enough to hold some other things. The cover keeps the heat in and doesn't fall off easily. Makes for a BIG cup of coffee or tea! My favorite dish.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

This will work well for heating water for drinks, or eating meals from. The lid works well for keeping food warm, straining food. When a Snow Peak spork is inserted into the lid it holds a spare fuel can on top of the lid. I can also put my Snow Peak stove and a lighter inside for a compact kit. This will cut my weight greatly, it is so light but strong. It is the perfect size for breakfast meals, oatmeal, coffee. Also great for dinner freeze dried meals, rice, pasta.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

This is the perfect pot to pair up with a Snow Peak Giga Power stove for solo treks. It's just the right size for 1-2 serving freeze dried meals. Also useful for making tea or hot chocolate. The one really small downside is the mesh storage bag. Mine keeps tearing at the seam requiring re-stitching.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

Forget about weight savings -- the difference between this pot in steel versus titanium isn't worth mentioning as a practical advantage. It's the shape of this pot that's the winner. If you have a Gigapower stove (and really, if you camp in the summer, why don't you have one?), this is the perfect solution for keeping your stove and fuel canister neatly protected in your pack. If you go on solo trips and all you do is boil water for your oatmeal, your coffee and tea, and your evening dried meal, you don't need a cookset -- you just need this pot. That's all. Dig it.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

I just put all my other non insulated mugs into storage now.

This mug goes with me whenever I also take my water bottle. A typical 16 oz water bottle can be seated inside the mug.

By placing some small twigs on a rock and making a small fire I have myself a pot.

I ended up buying most of the Snow Peak pots. They are sized in such a way that it can be layered one inside the other.

I gave it 3 stars as opposed to 5 stars because the handle is designed such that the bottom portion of the handle meet at a curve to make the handle wider and more stable to grip, but because the handle is not fastened on tightly, it has some vertical play, making the botom curves of the two handles not meet unless I make a effort of it.

Its never the less my favorite mug/pot, along with the other Snow Peak pots. Along with my bigger and heavier GSI pots/pans/woks I am all set for any type of cooking.

                    Excellent quality and design.
                    Soooooooo light.
It boils water super fast because the titanium metal transfers the heat very efficiently.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

This is a great mug. I have tried others that clip, others that are steel, aluminum...this is the one I am sticking with. I have been on many adventures with this great thing and it will never fail. Light weight, put it right on the stove and cook up whatever you eat. Just the right size for a single meal...love it. Only one thing...I wish the lid would stay on better. No big deal...

As a lightweight pot, this can't be beat. I've taken this with me on many excursions. As said by others, this is a perfect match the the Gigapower canisters/stove combination, but for me, it's a better match for the ultralightweight enthusiast. A pair of 4oz squeeze bottles full of denatured alcohol, a red-bull stove, and coffee/spices all fit perfectly inside the pot; use the pot's included mesh stuff sack to keep it all together.

                    Ditch the lid!
