Comments about Omega Pacific Jake HMS Screwgate Carabiner:
This is my favorite carabiner. I went back [...] and bought several more. I love the wide gate clearance. I can open this without looking at it or giving it anything. The lock has never given me a problem- it's easy to grip even if my hands are sweaty. The finish is nice too.

Comments about Omega Pacific Jake HMS Screwgate Carabiner:
I use this carabiner on all my belay devices, and keep two extra handy just in case. The gate opens at an angle to make extra room to slip the carabiner onto the rope/atc/bolt. The only downside is that the diameter of the carabiner is a little big for lead anchors.

Comments about Omega Pacific Jake HMS Screwgate Carabiner:
Large, easy to use carabiner. Great for belaying-- large gate and pear shape mean it's easy to clip in and out. On the heavy side so may not be idea for long climbs.

Comments about Omega Pacific Jake HMS Screwgate Carabiner:
This is the only large locking biner that I buy. It has a wide mouth that allows you to clip in lots of rope at once. Sometimes the screwgate gets stuck but will come undone with little struggle, I am sure this is just from the mass amount of use I put it through. I hope they never discontinue this biner.

Comments about Omega Pacific Jake HMS Screwgate Carabiner:
Picked up a few of these for use mainly in top-rope anchor systems and their pear shape is perfectly suited to doubling-up and the rounded edge makes for a much smoother belay than with D-spined biners. The finish on these is outstanding as well. I think I'll be getting several more of them.

This has been and will be the best screwgate locking biner out there. What a beast.
