    This paper is terrific! It is waterproof. It can get drenched in a pouring rain or even dunked in the river and you can still read it. In fact, we once lost it in the rapids of a river and we could still read the map on the bottom of the river. It also doesn't tear. It will take a beating of getting dirty and being stuffed in your pack and survive. It's great to print all your maps on for your hiking, backpacking and padling trips. Depending what kind of printer you have the colors may bleed through to the other side of the paper but that only matters if you're trying to print double sided. On my printer only the yellow bleeds thrugh so I'm able to print maps on both sides enabling me to print one map as an overview of the general area and one as a detailed map of our trail. The larger legal size of this paper allows me to print larger maps. I highly recommend this paper as well as the regular size.
