        Absolutley love this bottle, packs down tight and holds a truck load of beverage. Bottle stands upright when full or even partially filled. Takes some getting used to, but is perfect once you leave the car. I still use the old school Nalgenes around the car and at home, but leave them behind everytime for this model once I hit the trail....great product!

        Great idea, but mine leaks after only ONE TRIP!!! The collar of the bottle, where the lid apparatus attaches to the rest of the plastic reservoir, is extremely suseptible to damage from abrasion. One or two slides on a piece of granite and the reservoir will make a tiny puncture where the plastic won't bend or give, rendering your bottle leaky. I would NOT recommend, take a look at the Platypus small mouth bottles; they do not have this design flaw. I'm taking mine back. I loved the idea though, super lightweight for a Nalgene. Needs reinforcement where the collar of the bottle top joins the rest of the thin plastic reservoir. Poorly designed in this area. I take very good care of my camping gear and am really let down by the design. (I also have the 32 oz. version; seems SLIGHTLY more durable; somehow the dimensions of the smaller one keep it slightly more out of harm's way)

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          Excellent for carrying extra water within a pack. Very durable, lightweight, and compact when not in use. Also not bad as a pillow when partially filled with water or air.

            I took it to Alaska last week for it's first test and it started leaking at the bottom corner in the FIRST DAY OF USE!. I had to keep it turned up side down to hold water the whole trip. Good thing we were never far from a glacier fed lake.

            Great idea due to it's small size and light weight but not durable.

              Not sure why previous poster had a leak so fast. I have been using these containers for years. The do eventually wear out (aka leak), but I get a a good 400 trail miles out of one. Wide mouth is excellent for filling. The product can be slowly reduced in size as the water is used up. An empty takes virtually no room.
