Comments about Gregory Z30 Pack - '08 Closeout:
I bought this in '08 for a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park to use as a day pack, and a one night backpacking trip to the boulderfield on Longs Peak. It is a good sized pack because it is small but just big enough. It encourages a small load so you don't weigh yourself down.
Another reason I bought it was for the narrow frame, so the pack doesn't get in the way as you hike. It's comfortable, rides well on my 5'5" frame and has compression straps to keep the load under control. Although I strapped my food bag to the back, everything else fit in the pack for a 2 day trek including a sleeping bag, solo tent, water filter, hydration system, stove, fuel, clothes etc.
I like this pack a lot and continue to use it.

Day hiking, My first trip using this pack was a very difficult 9 mile hike with temps around 90. The pack was very comfortable and the design helps keep you cooler.
