I was looking for a messenger bag that had adequate protection to carry a computer while riding a bike. This was not it. The bag is designed to be worn either across the back or hanging off one shoulder (I assume) - but it sacrifices a lot in that design. It is very oddly shaped if/when you try to carry it as a messenger bag, and does not hug the body well. This would not be an issue if you did not want to use it on a bike. As is, the bag feels awkward and like it is sticking out an extra foot or so from my back. In addition, the "third leg" that helps to stabilize the bag on a bike is REALLY awkward to use as you have to grab the male portion of the strap and plug it into the female portion on the bag, it would make much better sense to have it the other way around because it is pretty difficult to find the female portion just by touch (and you can't see it).

Other than the fact you can't really use it on a bike, it seems well-made and sturdy. It would be great as a computer bag that looks like a messenger bag, but is not good as a messenger bag that holds a computer.

I will be returning it.

I use this Crumpler Part and Parcel as a college school bag with a 15.4" Macbook Pro, a 5 subject notebook and 2-3 school books (I sometimes even put my DSLR w/ battery grip in the main pocket.) It's great that it's so well constructed, I don't have to worry about it ripping anytime soon. Would like to have a better shoulder pad but it's better then others I have had over the years.

Would have put 4 stars but the shoulder pad isn't a big issue as to the overall durability of the bag. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

My delivery was very prompt and arrived earlier then the estimated date. The bag arrived in perfect condition and the store rep even offered to dispose of the box/packaging for me. The customer service was very easy to find and very helpful in addressing all my needs and concerns.
