    Definitely very comfortable but they wear out quickly. I've also had the sole pull away from the upper in two different places after about 9 months of periodic use. Nothing a little Shoe Goo didn't correct - but they are now relegated to day hikes. No long distance use for these anymore.

      First and foremost, these boots yield the best outsoles...period. I have heard complaints about excessive wear on the outsoles, but my experience with these boots have been off-pavement...so there you go.

      These boots have never leaked water.

      These boots are secure enough to waddle up the 45-degree slopes at Anakena Beach using the inside of each foot, swinging the hips to take each step, without the hands toughing the ground. However, they are flexible enough to enable one to run unobstructed!

      If it were not for the super-sticky Stealth rubber, I may have fallen to my death trying to find Lakonis Cave from a beach to the west as I foolishly climbed the gneiss and loose schist cliffs without a rope to get access. Hehehe...every time I weare these boots I think of that acomplishment and pray thankfully.


      I have trekked approximately 700 miles in these boots...NOT ONE BLISTER!

      The soles have between 500 and 600 miles left on them...granted that I DO NOT USE THEM ON ASPHALT! ;-)

      I think this model is discontinued. For over a year, I have asked hiking boot retailers for boots with Stealth Rubber...I'm told it is not abailable because of complaints with excessive wear. If these boots fit you, it behooves you to buy 3 pairs. Buy 6!

      I am very critical of field gear...I use it to make a living and to stay alive...These boots, PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF THE OUTSOLE, are magnificent!

        Boots are very comfortable and so far seem to be very good for wearing outdoors. Looking forward to doing some serious hiking with this this spring.
        Got a great deal on them by buying them on clearance.
